Steamed Sticky Rice

  1. Wash rice with cold water until water run clear; 
  2. Add water to rice in a big bowl, cover it and let it soak in the fridge overnight;
  3. Lightly oil 2 dinner plates;
  4. Lay a thin layer of rice in each plate, add a little water;
  5. Stream on high for 12 minutes after water boils, adjust time with rice amount;
  6. Take them out of the streamer, add a layer of red bean paste in one plate;
  7. Using a long knife, loose up the rice layer in another plate, flip over on the plate with red bean paste filling;
  8. Decorate the rice with dates, Gogi berries, raisins, dried cranberries, etc;
  9. Take the rice plate back to the streamer, steam on high for another 5 minutes.
