Amber Walnut

琥珀核桃

INGREDIENTS:

walnut                2 cup
brown sugar       1/4 cup
salt                     1/4 tsp
star anise            1
water                  120 ml

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Clean walnut and rinse under running water;
  2. Put all ingredients in a pot, bring to boil, then simmer for 20 mins, stir occasionally;
  3. Transfer the walnuts to baking sheet lined with parchment paper, lay them in a single layer;
  4. Preheat oven to 300F, bake for 20 mins;
  5. Cool on a wire rack completely;
  6. Store in an air tight container.
